How This Works

This predictor uses a weighted model based on publicly reported student data correlating NBME practice scores, UWorld performance, and remaining study time with actual Step 2 CK outcomes.

NBME Scores (65%)

NBME assessments are produced by the same organization as Step 2 CK and are the strongest single predictor of actual exam performance. We weight the average of your entries at 65%.

UWorld % (25%)

First-pass UWorld percentage reflects both baseline knowledge and learning efficiency. Student forums and published analyses consistently show a moderate correlation with final scores.

Study Time (10%)

Remaining dedicated study weeks contribute a small upward adjustment (capped at +6 points), reflecting that structured preparation time correlates with modest score improvements.

Formula: Score = (NBME estimate × 0.65) + (UWorld estimate × 0.25) + (time adjustment × 0.10). Confidence intervals widen with fewer data points: ±16 pts (1 score), ±12 pts (2 scores), ±8 pts (3 scores). This is a statistical estimate — individual results vary.
